Congratulations to Ferrefae for reaching max level, making her the 17th Dragonflight Pacifist Challenge champion. This is Ferre’s sixth Dragonflight Pacifist Challenge Champion.
She also has two Iron Man challengers and four Working Man challengers – all max level Dragonflight Champions. Ferrefae’s journey was 765 days, 18 hrs, 23 min, 9 sec, with a /played of 3 days, 22 hours and 31 minutes.
Ferre’s love for her Pacifists is legendary, and this being her sixth Pacifist for Dragonflight again shows her passion for them.
What class/spec did Ferre choose to go with, and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “Ferrefae is a NE Resto Druid. I like the ability to Prowl and the escape of Shadowmeld. A Resto Druid has a lot of healing spells, including HOTs. If they draw aggro, a Rejuvenation followed by Dash provides a fast escape to get to somewhere safe to Shadowmeld. The ability to Teleport to Moonglade is also really helpful when moving around Azeroth, for doing holiday quests for example.”
What path did you take to level, and were there specific reasons for those choices? Ferre said, “Ferrefae started during the SL expansion and got to Lvl50 doing a lot of gathering, along with holidays and exploration. Especially with Druid Flight, herbing is very fast in herb-intensive areas, like in Feralas and in Pandaria’s Valley of the Four Winds. At 50, she did the Maw skip and took Threads of Fate, joining the Night Fae. From 50-70 she did a combination of World Quests, Profession World Quests, Cook/Fish dailies back in SW or Darnassus, holidays and DMF activities. She did not go to the Dragon Isles. Ferrefae did very little Archeology – a few easy dig sites when they showed up, but not much.”
Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “Not really. A few cases of aggro while gathering pre-lvl 50, but nothing that a heal and a Shadowmeld couldn’t deal with,” Ferre mentioned.
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out the Iron Man challenge? Ferre said, “Once you get past Lvl 10 (for profession dailies), do whatever you enjoy doing in order to level to 60 in Chromie time. I spent a lot of time in my favorite gathering spots. This was probably because herbing in Druid Flight Form is fast and easy. I found that riskier in SL zones, and limited the areas where I did gathering there, preferring to concentrate on paci-safe world quests and profession WQs. And absolutely be sure to do all of the possible holiday quests! I liked doing some of those at odd hours to avoid other players (and potential proximity kills).”
Are you working on any other challengers, or do you plan on taking a break for a while? “Ongoing Pacifists, Iron Mans, as well as Working Mans, Green Man challengers,” Ferre states.
Congratulations once again to Ferre on Ferrefae becoming our 17th Dragonflight Pacifist Champion, and best of luck with your future challenge adventures.
