Congratulations to Executioner, our 7th The War Within Iron Man Challenge champion!

Congratulations to Executioner for reaching max level, making him our 7th The War Within Iron Man Challenge champion! Executioner’s total journey was 72 days, 13 hrs, 35 min, 48 sec, with a /played of 20 hrs, 11 mins. 
This is the third successful Iron Man in The War Within for Executioner, with Tazura and Arven completing the trio.

Why did you choose this challenge to play? Executioner said, “The Iron Man is still hard! I think people underestimate how bad the grey gear is lol.”
What race/class/spec did you choose to go with and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “Human Ret Paladin, good escape with Bubble Hearth and decent damage combined with self heals.”

What path did you take to level and were there specific reasons for those choices? Executioner mentioned, “I did the normal path of Elwynn, Westfall, Duskwood, Loch Modan, Badlands, etc. It was a pretty smooth journey, I don’t even think I ever left the Eastern Kingdoms before entering The War Within zones.”

Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “I got reckless quite a few times and had to Bubble Hearth out, but the biggest close call was being dismounted mid air in The War Within by a mob and almost dying from fall dmg because Bubble was on cooldown,” Executioner said.
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out the Iron Man challenge? ‘If you have five max level characters that is a 25% XP bonus, War Mode is another 10%, and WoW Anniversary is another 10%. I didn’t take advantage of that on any of my characters but I highly recommend going for it now.”

Are you working on any other challengers or do you plan on taking a break for a while? Executioner mentioned, “Going to try to make more characters from Tazura’s story. Here’s an excerpt about The Executioner:

The small man reels back and mutters, “It’s almost time for you to give the speech for your coronation.”
        “I will be ready,” The Executioner said. “But there is one small matter I must tend to.”
         Hours later, he held his blade tight as he walked into the snowy forest. In the shade of the trees he sees a silhouette illuminated only by the glowing sword of fire, and knew immediately this was the time to strike.”
