Congratulations to Arven, our 5th The War Within Iron Man Challenge champion!

Congratulations to Arven for reaching max level and making them the 5th The War Within Iron Man Challenge champion. Arven was previously a Dragonflight Iron Man Challenge champion and their journey from Level 70 to max was 1 days, 1 hr. 

Is this your first max level challenger? If you’ve had others could you please refresh our memory with who they were and what challenge they were in? Arven said, “This was my second The War Within champion. My first was Arven’s apprentice, Tazura.”

Why did you choose this challenge to play? Arven said, “Wanted to see how Mage would hold up on War Within.”

What class/spec did Arven  choose to go with, and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “Blood Elf Mage, very squishy but very high damage.”

What path did you take to level, and were there specific reasons for those choices? Arven said, “This was my third max level character in TWW. Just did world quests and the main campaign quests, avoided mobs which could break through my cx and hit very hard.”

Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? Arven mentioned, “Yes! In Azj-Kahet there is a world quest called Worm Sigh, Sealed, Delivered. It is deceptively dangerous because the mobs, (Ploughworm Broodlings), are very small but hit for 100k sometimes.”

Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out Iron Man Challenge? Arven said, “Besides not doing that one world quest, either tank spec for defensives to play it safe, or caster class to level faster and do much more damage, but with a lot more risk because you’re squishy.”

Are you working on any other challengers or do you plan on taking a break for a while? “Going to make more challenge characters from Tazura’s story. Here’s another excerpt about Arven:

Behind Odium comes marching in a small army to defend him against the might of the greatest archmage the empire had seen. “Show yourself, old master!” He shouted.
All at once, these soldiers find themselves glued to the ground as ice crawls up their bodies, encasing them completely. 
Odium swings his arm around and the cold winds come to a halt, revealing Arven standing in the middle of it. A look of pure rage has overtaken her normally calm visage.
She points the legendary ice staff Gelwyn at Odium and shouts, “Did you truly expect to be worshiped by the masses after all of this was through?”
“They would have no choice!” 
“Nor do I. It pains me to do this, but I must end you.”
