Congratulations to Ashspaci on becoming our 16th Battle for Azeroth Pacifist Challenge champion! It took Ash approximately 535 days with a /played time of 8 days and 18 hours.

While Ashspaci is Ash’s first challenger to reach 120 this is not the first time he’s reached the victors’ podium. Ash has previously made it with his Iron, Ironashs, during the Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor expansions.

We know that not every challenge is for everyone. This is why we have several to choose from. With that being said why did Ash decide to give the Pacifist Challenge a try? “Paci was a change, needed something different in the game and that seemed a hard thing to do so I switched gears.”

Pacifist challengers can be a little tricky to get started. Professions can not be learned until level five and your inability to kill mobs limiting your questing options just getting to level five can be a challenge all on its own. With your quests limited your starting cash will also be limited. So how did Ash get enough money to learn his professions? “Sold everything I could get or carry until level 5, after getting fishing at 5 went to Snug Harbor and fished for greys off the dock. Man did I get some looks from the 120’s at level 5 fishing off the dock.”

Close calls are always a bit unsettling, perhaps even more so with a Pacifist challenger due to not being able to fight back to save yourself. Ash’s close calls were numerous, at least until the halfway point. “Below 60 I had many, once I had flight as a druid not so much. Below 60 about everything made me hit SM.”

Ash has the following advice for those who may be considering giving the Pacifist Challenge a try: “… a note to new paci’s New Tinker Town is a good place to farm. That’s the main thing, New Tinker Town to start farming once you have mining and herbing. 1-5 is the rough part, get past that, good to go.”

Now that Ash has his Pacifist to max level what will he be working on next? Well, he has an Iron that is currently at 110 but he’s not so sure that he’ll make it to 120 before the Pre-Patch squish comes in.
