Congratulations to Dwarfster for reaching max level on a Dwarf Warlock, making her the 19th Dragonflight Iron Man Challenge Champion. This is Ster’s eleventh max level champion and his first Warlock Iron Man in the Dragon Isle expansion. A total of 2 days of /played time, Dwarfster hit max level in Shadowlands, thus this was a level 60 to 70 exercise, over the course of just about a month.
Dwarfster’s leveling path followed the same as other champions: loot chests in BfA until Level 64, do any Bonus XP quests in Shadowlands, and then do all the Dragon Races in Dragon Isles. This will get you to Level 66-67 easily. Then chase the Paci-safe quests in Dragon Isles. Wait, Paci-safe quests? Yes, if the quest is safe for a Pacifist, it is generally safe for all other challenge types, like Iron Man.
The climb to 70 went very fast thanks to both the ongoing Winds of Sanctuary buff (50% XP!) and the holiday event Midsummer Fire Festival. Dwarfster got two levels just by going around to all the Alliance bonfires where they are available. Getting kind of bold, Dwarfster actually desecrated a number of Horde bonfires since they are worth 2x the normal XP. Her technique? Go up to the Horde bonfire and click it, which will dismount you. A quest box appears, but first, remount on your flying mount and launch up 5-6 feet into the air. Now click the accept button for quest credit, and immediately hit the spacebar to zoom way up into the air and fly away. The risk of course is that a Horde player with range might attack you, but you are long gone before any damage is done. I like to go to an Alliance flight point and take a taxi to anywhere to clear the PvP mode.
Now is a a great time to level a challenger, the bonus XP and Midsummer Fire Festival will leap you ahead in short order!
Congratulations once again to Ster on Maygester becoming our 19th Dragonflight Iron Man champion, and best of luck with your future challenge adventures.
