Congratulations to Hyogreen for reaching max level, making them our 6th The War Within Green Man Challenge champion! Hyogreen’s journey has been 2 days, 1 hrs, 12 mins, 31 secs, with /played of 12 hrs, 36 mins, 32 secs. 

Is this your first max level challenger? If you’ve had others could you please refresh our memory with who they were and what challenge they were in? CStar said, “This is my first successful max level challenger for TWW, third overall. My other characters are Thusky, who I completed the Iron Man Challenge on in Dragonflight, and Cgreen, a previous Green Man Challenger that I got to level 80 before a very stupid death.”

Why did you choose this challenge to play? CStar said, ” I needed a break from pugging M+ and this seemed like a pretty chill way to fill the downtime and recuperate, for lack of a better term.”

What race/class/spec did you choose to go with and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “Pandaren Fury Warrior. I chose Panda because, in my opinion, they have the best combat animations in the game, Fury because that is what I main and what I am easily most comfortable playing, which is also why I chose Warrior'” mentioned CStar.

What path did you take to level and were there specific reasons for those choices? If this was not the first challenger of yours in this specific challenge to reach max level, did your leveling path differ from previous champions and if so why? CStar said, “From Lvl19 leaving the Panda starting zone onward I quested in Dragonflight zones, starting in Waking Shores and staying in Ohn’ahran Plains for as long as possible due to Dreamsurge being active there. Afterwards, though, I went to Azure Span and largely followed the MSQ, plus a few side quests along the way. 70-80 went from Hallowfall -> Azj’Kahet -> Ringing Deeps. No deep reason nor path in mind; they’re just the zones I like the most, in that order. My path differed somewhat from the previous, failed Level 80, in that there was less meandering and absolutely no interaction with the Isle of Dorn, instead substituting that with Azj’Kahet.”

Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “No. Warrior has tools available from as early as 10 to ensure one’s safety, and I could do big pulls without fear of dying, even when my gear was severely outdated, the higher I got in levels.”
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out Green Man Challenge? CStar said, “My advice would be to get a Fury run in before Blizzard decides we need more ‘fine tuning’.”
Are you working on any other challengers or do you plan on taking a break for a while? CStar mentioned, “Still considering my choices. I will certainly take a break for now, however long that may be.”
