Congratulations to Nâlu for reaching max level and making them the 51st The War Within Iron Man Challenge champion. Nâlu’s journey was 8 days, 16 hrs, 48 min, 31 sec, with a /played of 1 day, 37 mins and 46 secs. 
Is this your first max level challenger? If you’ve had others could you please refresh our memory with who they were and what challenge they were in? Skaggi said, “This is my first max level challengers. Not the first try though.”
Why did you choose this challenge to play? “Because I was bored between expansions and I was longing for a challenge. Also it gives a bit more the Vanilla Vibe from when I first started playing.”
What race/class/spec did you choose to go with and were there any specific reasons for that choice? Skaggi mentioned, “Night Elf, Rogue, Subtlety. Night Elf because I like the fighting animations and Shadowmeld as extra safety option. Rogue because it has a lot of survivability, like Cheat Death, Evasion, Vanish and Cloak of Shadows. And it has Stealth so you can go to your goal without needing to kill all in between. Crimson Vial for healing. Also Sap and Blind are great for crowd control. Subtlety because I like sneaking around.”
What path did you take to level and were there specific reasons for those choices? “Just did starting zone for the Night Elves. Darkshore, Ashenvale until Lvl 35, Mount Hyjal until Lvl 40, Dragonflight: Waking Shores, Ohn’Ahran Plains untill Lvl 70, The War Within: Isle of Dorn until Lvl 80. First time I died on another Rogue was taking on to much, second try I died in Battle for Azaroth. Those mobs hurt a lot more. So I skipped that on my third try,” said Skaggi.
Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “Oh yes, a lot. Some fights I was left with two HP left. And that’s when all escape options are on cooldown. But if I reached a level my last challenger died I started becoming even more careful.”
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out Iron Man challenge? “Don’t rush things. Check vendors and AH for gear upgrades. Elites are not your friends. Skip the Furbolgs in Ashenvale, they have a buff that hurts you more then I did them, (12-20 vs 78 back for every hit on them.) Always make sure you have a way out so you can run away. Kill patrols!” said Skaggi.
Are you working on any other challengers or do you plan on taking a break for a while? Skaggi said, “Not atm. I’ll level up Nâlu when I get the hang of the next expansion. And the idea of having a challenger in every type of armor is growing on me 🙂 So who knows.”
