Congratulations to Taylurelyn for reaching max level and making them the 11th Dragonflight Working Man Challenge champion. This is Taylurelyn’s first Max Level Champion and their journey was 73 days, 23 hr, 1 min, 7 secs, with a /played of 1 day, 20 mins, 20 secs.
Why did you choose this challenge to play? Taylurelyn said, “One of my favourite elements of WoW is RP, so I feel like being able to take and level Professions allows me to immerse myself more into the character, whilst also being a fun challenge.”
What race/class/spec did you choose to go with and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “I went with a Dwarf Brewmaster Monk mainly for RP reasons, but also the defensives and survivability of Brewmaster came in very useful over the duration of the challenge. I also took Tailoring and Herbalism as my Professions,” Taylurelyn mentioned.
What path did you take to level and were there specific reasons for those choices? Taylurelyn said, “In all honesty, my levelling path was a bit all over the place. After doing the Dwarf starting area, a portion of Dun Morogh, I started off in Pandaria where I did The Jade Forest from about 10-20. From then I tackled BfA and did Drustvar from 20-35ish, and then went on to do The War Campaign and did all of the Alliance quests in Zandalar which got me to around Level 40. Then I returned to Pandaria and did The Valley of Four Winds and some questing in Krasarang Wilds to get me closer to the 50’s. After this, I switched to Cataclysm, and quested through Mount Hyjal and Twilight Highlands until I was 60. From there I did some herb picking and questing in The Azure Span and finally Thaldraszsus where I finally dinged 70.”
Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “There were definitely a good few, one that sticks out in my mind is when I was doing the Azure Archive quests and accidentally pulled a bunch of the wyverns at the top of the tower. Luckily BM Monk has enough CC and stuns to get me out of sticky situations.”
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out Working Man challenge? Taylurelyn said, “After many attempts I would just say take it slow and don’t get ahead of yourself, and also just pay close attention to everything that you are doing. Spatial awareness is KEY.”
Are you working on any other challengers or do you plan on taking a break for a while? “I just started an Iron Man with a Pandaren Mage, but with the launch of TWW I think they’re going to get sidelined for a while!”
Congratulations once again to Taylurelyn on becoming our 11th Dragonflight Working Man champion, and best of luck with your future challenge adventures.
