Congratulations to Tazura for reaching max level, making him the 3rd The War Within Iron Man Challenge champion. This is Tazura’s first The War Within Challenge Champion, with the toon being a previous Dragonflight Champion. Tazura’s journey was 196 days, 18 hrs, 38 min, 44 sec with a /played of 2 days, 8 hours.

Why did you choose this challenge to play? Tazura said, “Tazura was already 70 from finishing the Iron Man in Dragonflight, so I figured I’d try to hit max in TWW early on and try to finish in the top five.”

What class/spec did Tazura choose to go with, and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “Tazura is a Protection Warrior because of the high amount of defensive cooldowns. TWW is no joke, those mobs hit hard.”

What path did you take to level, and were there specific reasons for those choices? Tazura said, “This was my first max level character in TWW, but I made sure to unlock world quests on a non-challenge character first. My path consisted of doing a lot of world quests and side quests.”

Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “Yes, avoid cave quests if you don’t have the ability to vanish. Beware spiders which can dismount you mid air.” 

Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out the Iron Man challenge? Tazura said, “It’s very telling when the top three Iron Man are all Tank spec. I just recommend going in knowing that the mobs definitely hit harder in TWW, so plan accordingly.” 

Are you working on any other challengers, or do you plan on taking a break for a while? Tazura mentioned, “Thinking about making more challenge characters from Tazura’s story. Here’s an excerpt of his more recent adventures for those curious:
The Executioner is caught by the ball of pure flame. It consumes him entirely. As the flames dissipate, nothing is left behind but a forge ruined by lava.
Tazura felt the spirit within him calm down and finds himself floating back down to the ground, his form returning to him. The phoenix flies back into the crystal within the flaming sword on the ground.
He looked up to see Cassia reaching out and yelling, “Tazura, I’m sorry! You need to run, they’re going to-” She’s suddenly cut off as a portal opens up behind her. The Haunted, who had been standing a distance away, pulls her into the portal, leaving Tazura in deafening silence.
The Chained stands up and looks to Tazura. “Ravager…” he mutters, a confused look on his face.“
