Congratulations to Thyrste, our 1st Midnight Blood Thirsty Challenge champion!

Congratulations to Thyrste for reaching max level and making them the 1st Midnight Blood Thirsty Challenge champion. Thyrste’s total journey was 143 days, 23 hr, 44 min with a /played of 3 day, 13 hrs.

This is Listen’s first max level Midnight challenge champion however he has had many in The War Within – Grean – Green Man Champion TWW; Wurkin – Working Man Champion TWW; Paycients – Tin Man Champion SL, DF, TWW; Pacifire – Pacifist Champion TWW; Listened – Pacifist Champion TWW (Earthen); Candlencrow – Iron Man Champion TWW (Earthen); Softiron – Iron Man Champion TWW; Bloodworg – Blood Thirsty Champion TWW; Arciron – Iron Man Champion TWW and Plowshares – Pacifist Champion TWW and Ironprayer – Iron Man Champion TWW.”

Why did you choose this challenge to play? “There aren’t many Blood Thirsty and it is what I consider the most challenging right now.”

What race/class/spec did you choose to go with and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “Worgen/Druid/Guardian.  Druids have great mobility and Guardian has great survivability along with decent damage,” mentioned Listen.

What path did you take to level and were there specific reasons for those choices? “Since this is an extension of a The War Within Champion, for the Midnight challenge I ended up finding an area just outside of Witherbark Bluffs in Zul’Aman with predictable mobs to grind on and lots of safe places to stop for breaks.”

If this was not the first challenger of yours in this specific challenge to reach max level, did your leveling path differ from previous champions and if so why?  Listen said, “This is my first Midnight Blood Thirsty.”

Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? Listen said, “The closest calls for me doing the Blood Thirsty are if I get sleepy or if I get an interruption and don’t leave myself in a safe place. Other than that, the area was chosen for lack of surprises. On other issues I had was with rested bonus. Staying in the Witherbark Bluffs inn showed the ZZZ’s but it wasn’t giving me the rested boost as normal. That cost me a lot of time as I didn’t realize it at first. So I began porting back to Arcantina to make sure I got the rested bonus.”

Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out Blood Thirsty challenge? “Mix the killing with the quests that you can do, to keep it from getting dull. It always helps me to concentrate, as constant killing can almost put me to sleep, (not good when you can’t die). The Midnight 80 – 90 is all killing and no quests so the biggest thing to remember is patience and rested XP is your friend.”

Are you working on any other challengers or do you plan on taking a break for a while? “I need to start leveling my other The War Within champions to Midnight level. We’ll see how long that takes,” mentioned Listen.

Congratulations once again to Listen on Thyrste becoming our 1st Midnight Blood Thirsty champion, and best of luck with your future challenge adventures.
