Congratulations to Xayasky on becoming our fourth Shadowlands Iron Man champion. Xayasky’s /played time was 2 days, 3 hours, and 30 minutes.
While this is Xaya’s first Shadowlands max level challenger, he has had several others during past expansions. “For Iron Man, I got Xayaforsi to 90 in MoP and 100 in Draenor, she died at the start of Legion. I was able to get Xayamil to 120 in BfA but she died in Maldraxxus. I also got a 120 Green Man (Xayagettara, now dead), Working Man (Xayawomil, also dead), and Tin Man (now 55 with 7 deaths)”
Xaya’s played in many of the challenge options available, so why did he choose the Iron Man challenge for his first Shadowlands max level attempt? “I started playing ironman years ago. Ironman is my preferred challenge, so I rerolled when I lost my BfA champion (Iron Man, Green Man, and Working Man).”
This expansion has really shaken up things a bit offering a few more leveling path options on the road to 60. Xaya chose the following path for Xayasky: “I mostly used Chromie Time and stayed in Azeroth most of the time to 50, with some dailies in Pandaria. Going through the maw is not too hard on a Paladin, after that, I chose ‘Threads of Fate’ and started Bastion (with Kyrian as my covenant because of the special ‘avenger’s shield’ like ability). Each zone has a quest to do stuff in it that gives a lot of XP, so did them all. I switch from one zone to the other doing world quests, while also relatively safe quests and bonus objectives. I did most of Bastion, a few in Maldraxxus, about half of Ardenweald and Revendreth.”
Close calls can happen often to challengers, which brings us to ask, did Xayasky have any? “Many, especially in Shadowlands. Protection pally can stand its ground against most single mob, but 2 is often too many. I used bubble hearth multiple times, especially in Revendreth.”
Xaya has the following advice for others wanting to try the Iron Man Challenge: “Do what you know, especially in Shadowlands. I definitely suggest to scout everything, unless you’ve done it many times as an Iron, and even then it might be quite different from one class to the other (my paladin could do a lot more stuff in Shadowlands than my ironman warrior which died at 55).”
What’s next for Xaya, will he be taking a break or jumping right back in with another challenger? “I am still working on my paci that has not learned archeology (doing chest runs in BfA and Azeroth). I also started new Blood Thirsty, Green Man, and Working Man, but since the last 2 have tracking problems on the website they will have to wait till the website is fixed.”
Good luck with your other challengers Xaya and once again congratulations on becoming our fourth Shadowlands Iron Man champion with Xayasky!
