World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary celebration event has begun!  This year’s celebration will run until January 6th. All of the anniversary event NPCs can once be found just outside the Caverns of Time (instead of deep below). Direct portals to the Caverns of Time can be found in the portal rooms located in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. It is strongly advised that challengers use these portals to get to the Caverns of Time.  For a non-challenger perspective on this event please feel free to check out the information on WoWHead.com

The following information is for the Iron Man Challenge. For information on the other challenge variants please see below.

The Anniversary Gift
Logging in for the first time during the event will get you a quest:
– Another Timely Invitation: This quest will direct you to head to the Caverns of Time. You won’t need to turn this in to access the trivia question daily. It’s just a breadcrumb quest to get you to where the party is. This quest is ALLOWED.

You’ll also automatically get a bonus for xp that cannot be removed. It is ALLOWED, so enjoy!

Vendor Items
There are various items for sale in exchange for Timewarped Badges or Bronze Celebration Tokens . Please remember to follow your challenge’s rules when looking to make a purchase.

Quests

Celebrate good fun : this quest will give a a bonus to xp for 12 hours. Since you can avoid it, it is NOT ALLOWED and will yellow flag you.
Meet and Greet this quest is ALLOWED
Shopping Squee this quest is ALLOWED
Timely Gate Crasher’ can be picked up. Wowhead is stating that you’ll need to be level 30 to pick up this quest and get any loot from the bosses. You are NOT ALLOWED to join a group, so overall this quest would be a no-go. You can try to tag them but this could be a rather risky move as the world bosses can be rather deadly even at a distance.
Chromies Codex is a multi player scenario. It is NOT ALLOWED.
Dungeons, raids and battle grounds are NOT ALLOWED so quests to do those cannot be done on challenge toons.
The Time to Reflect trivia quest is available daily. You can pick this quest up from Historian Llore or Historian Ju’pa. Both of these quest givers can be found in the Caverns of Time. This quest is ALLOWED as all you need to do is answer a random trivia question.

Pacifist
No other specific rules apply to pacifists (killing bosses will flag you).

Blood Thirsty
– Another Timely Invitation: is NOT ALLOWED. You will get the quest, just don’t turn it in.

Tin Man
No other specific rules apply to tinman.

Working Man
No other specific rules apply to workingman.

Green Man
No other specific rules apply to greenman.

Iron Teams
– teams of 5 can do the dungeons quests.

Green Teams
– teams of 5 can do the dungeons quests.

Blood Thirsty Teams
– Another Timely Invitation: is NOT ALLOWED. You will get the quest, just don’t turn it in.
