Congratulations to Ferrekyyri for reaching max level, making her the 34th Dragonflight Iron Man Challenge champion. This is Ferre’s second Dragonflight Iron Man Challenge Champion.
She also has five Pacifist and four Working Man challengers – all max level Dragonflight Champions. Ferrekyyri’s journey was 2458 days, 21 hrs, 48 min, 4 sec, with a /played of 10 days, 18 hours and 30 minutes.
Ferre said, “I wanted an Iron Man Druid during Legion as a backup to my long-time (MoP) Iron Druid Ferriona, in case something happened to her along the way.”
What class/spec did Ferre choose to go with, and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “She started off in Balance spec, keeping this until changes in skills and mobs made switching to Resto safer and more comfortable, using rooting and shooting with Rejuvenation as a HOT rather than relying on a long cast-time heal. She stayed with Resto during the Shadowlands and Dragonflight expansions.”
What path did you take to level, and were there specific reasons for those choices? Ferre said, “She did early leveling during the Legion expansion, but her questing was in Azeroth (mostly Kalimdor and Loch Modan), Northrend, and MoP. She did a lot of dailies in MoP, along with treasure hunting in Northrend (and some in Draenor). In SL, she did Threads of Fate as Night Fae, focusing on WQs, holidays, and a few non-violent quests. During Dragonflight, she continued with these activities, and did not go to the Dragon Isles.”
Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? “Not during her journey from 60 – 70,” Ferre mentioned.
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out the Iron Man challenge? Ferre said, “Up to Level 50, quest wherever you enjoy the experience. Make use of daily quests and treasure hunting as kill quests become less possible. Exploration, even in areas where you don’t quest, can be great exp. Legion is a great example of that – just fly over it carefully and watch out for the PvP areas. Make use of the World Quests in Shadowlands that give Bonus Experience and get all the exp that you can out of holidays.“
Are you working on any other challengers, or do you plan on taking a break for a while? “Ongoing Pacifists, Working Mans, as well as Green Man and Iron Man challengers,” Ferre states.
Congratulations once again to Ferre on Ferrekyyri becoming our 34th Dragonflight Iron Man Champion, and best of luck with your future challenge adventures.
