Congratulations to Ferrevegan on becoming our 12th Dragonflight Pacifist Challenge Champion! Ferrevegan’s journey took 172 days, 10 hrs, 12 min, 12 sec, with a total /played of 3 days, 16 hours, 46 minutes. This is not Ferre’s first max level challenger, as she already has three Pacifists and four Working Man Challenge Champion’s in the Dragonflight expansion.
Why did you choose this challenge to play? “Ferrevegan was a participant in the ‘Honoring Five, Pacifist Style’ contest,” Ferre said.
What class/spec did you choose to go with, and were there any specific reasons for that choice? “She is a NE Subtlety Rogue. I really like Pacifist Rogues for their sneakiness, crowd control abilities, and modes of escape. I knew she’d be doing quite a bit of Archeology, so having Sap and Vanish would make it faster/safer.”
What path did you take to level and were there specific reasons for those choices? Ferre says, “As part of the challenge (contest) to Honor Five, who loved to create additional aspects to the challenges for himself, Ferrevegan chose not to learn cooking or fishing. (I’ve never leveled a pacifist without those.) It really made a noticeably slower leveling experience, particularly between 60-70. At the lower levels, she did a lot of gathering – Herbing and Mining mostly in Feralas as well as Argent Tournament quests. Once she got flight ability, she did chest runs in Northrend and paci-safe dailies in Pandaria. She also did a LOT of gathering in Pandaria. In her 60s, she did paci-safe Shadowlands WQ’s, especially those designated as rewarding ‘extra’ experience. She also did holiday quests, DMF profession quests and turn-ins. She also did quite a bit of Archeology.”
Did you have any close calls while leveling this character? Ferre mentioned, “Not really. She was following familiar paths, and managed to avoid the temptation to push faster because her journey began as a contest. She did not go to the Dragon Isles. She continued her choice to avoid cooking/fishing even after the end of the official contest.”
Do you have any advice you would give to someone else thinking of trying out the pacifist challenge? Ferre says, “Just try it! I enjoyed the idea of adding in her vegan choice with regard to professions, but it definitely added time to the journey.”
Are you working on any other challengers, or do you plan on taking a break for a while? Ferre says, “Ongoing Pacifist, Working Man, Green Man and Iron Man Challengers.”
Congratulations once again on Ferrevegan becoming our 12th Pacifist Challenge Champion of Dragonflight. All the best Ferre with your Challenge adventures.
