Congratulations to Xayapartfive on becoming our 5th Dragonflight Pacifist Challenge champion! Xayapartfive’s Pacifist journey took 8 days, 10 hours, and 15 minutes with a /played time of 1 day, 22 hours, and 30 minutes to complete.
Xaya is one of our challenge veterans so he’s had many challenge champions across several expansions. Xayapartfive is his 2nd challenge champion of Dragonflight so far, both of them being Pacifist challengers.
Xaya chose the Pacifist Challenge for Xayapartfive because he wanted to participate in the Pacifist leveling contest. “It was a contest toon, so I had to pick Night Elf. For class, I chose Rogue because my main regular toon is a Rogue. I know well how to move around stealthed, and use Sap/Blind when necessary.”
Xaya used the following leveling strategy for Xayapartfive: “I mostly did Pacifist safe quests (while herbing/mining on the way) in about all zones up to 50. I did not have to go to Draenor, Legion, or Shadowlands. I also did chest runs in BfA.”
“When I hit 60, having done the campaign on other toons, I went to DragonIsles, did the paci safe quests and world quests there (dragon races alone gave almost 2 levels), and explored Shadowlands while doing some world quests there (those that gave bonus experience). The world quests in Dragon Isles do not reset daily, so most of my last levels were spent picking herbs and nodes in Dragon Isles.”
Did Xaya have any close calls while leveling Xayapartfive? “I had a few close calls with this toon. While picking a ‘windswept’ herb. I discovered you have (usually) time to get on your dragon after picking it so if you’re thrown off a cliff you can fly instead of fall. However you can’t fly for a few seconds, so I ended up falling anyway and lost more than half my hp.”
“Another time I was swept away before I finished summoning my dragon and began to fall immediately. I had already bought gliders so I was able to get safely to the ground. Another time, I summoned my dragon and started advancing, but what I saw was another toon’s dragon, and began to fall. This time again gliders for the win!”
Xaya has the following advice for others trying out the Pacifist Challenge: “My best advice: learn (using a scout if necessary) the aggro range of your toon, especially if you can’t use any crowd control against it. Better to not aggro at all than run away.”
What’s next for Xaya? Will he be taking a break or moving on to another challenger? “Currently, I have a level 67 Iron Man, still a few Shadowlands champions I wanna get to max again, and another toon for each of Blood Thirsty, Green Man, and Working Man.”
Good luck with those other challengers Xaya and congratulations on Xayapartfive becoming our 5th Pacifist champion of Dragonflight!
