Cranberry chutney and pumpkin pie, slow-roasted turkey and spice bread stuffing, my oh my. A feast for your stomach, a feast for your eyes can only mean one thing, Pilgrim’s Bounty has arrived! This year Pilgrim’s Bounty begins on November 24th and will wrap up on Decmber 1st. WoWHead.com has a full review of this event which you can find here.
New for 2024
At this time there do not appear to be any changes that our challengers need to be aware of. Should something come to light we will update this post and let everyone know.
The following information is for the Iron Man Challenge. For information on the challenge variants please see below.
A Wrinkle in Time
Please be aware some of the game’s zones have undergone big changes throughout several expansions. Depending on your level some challengers may need to locate Zidormi and turn back time in order to access the Pilgrim’s Bounty NPCs, the event’s bountiful tables, or find the wild turkeys.
Quests & Daily Quests
This holiday revolves around food therefore the quests and daily quests do as well. Several quests require players to cook and bring the items to NPCs. Due to cooking NOT being permitted for Irons those quests are NOT ALLOWED. Other quests allow players to cook or buy the items to bring to the NPCs. These quests are ALLOWED but you’ll need to purchase the required quest items directly off the Auction House. You may NOT trade with other players to get them and you may NOT send the cooked items to your challenger.
Completing the dailies will reward you with a Pilgrim’s Bounty. Inside there is a chance you could find the Frightened Bush Chicken pet, the Silver-Plated Turkey Shooter toy, a Fine Pilgrim’s Hat, a Turkey Shooter, or cooking recipes.
Bountiful Tables
The bountiful tables can be found in all major cities and towns with inns. Eating at these tables is ALLOWED for the purposes of completing the quests, however, please note that eating the same meal 5 times will give you buffs that are NOT ALLOWED and must be removed immediately. They are as follows: Feast On Cranberries, Feast On Pie, Feast On Stuffing, Feast On Sweet Potatoes, and Feast On Turkey. Additionally, the Spirit of Sharing buff which increases reputation gains by 10% for 1 hour is also NOT ALLOWED and must be removed. This buff is received after eating 5 helpings of all the available foods at a bountiful table.
Feasting Finery, Feathered Friends, & Fun
You are ALLOWED to obtain the toys and pets from this event. Please remember that while you are allowed to add the pets to your journal, you are NOT ALLOWED to take part in any pet battles. The Frightened Bush Chicken pet and the Silver-Plated Turkey Shooter toy as mentioned above can be acquired from the Pilgrim’s Bounty reward. The Plump Turkey pet is awarded upon completion of the achievement Pilgrim. Completing this achievement is not possible for an Iron as you need to cook some of the holiday foods which are NOT ALLOWED. This pet can be put in a cage though so you might luck out and find it on the auction house. As far as cosmetic items are concerned just follow the gear rules for your challenge.
